KeyModules

Privacy policy

Updated 16 October 2026

KeyModules runs keymodules.com. This page says what the site collects, why, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it.

The lock-in scan

YAML you paste or open in the scanner is processed by the page itself, in your browser. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and it is not saved: close or reload the tab and it is gone.

If you join the early-access list

When you submit the form we receive:

We use these only to email you about early access and early builds, and to decide which setups to support first. The form is processed by Formspree, Inc. in the United States, which stores the submissions for us. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else.

We keep them until you ask us to remove them or the early-access programme ends, whichever comes first. Every email we send has a way to stop further emails.

Server logs

The site is served by Amazon CloudFront. Like any web server it logs each request: IP address, time, page, referring page and browser type. The logs are kept for 90 days, used to keep the site working and secure and to count visits, and our traffic reports anonymise the IP addresses.

Usage counts

To see which parts of the scanner are used, the page requests a tiny file from this site when you run a scan, load the example, open a file, choose a target cloud, copy the results or follow the early-access link. Those requests appear in the server logs above like any page view. They carry nothing about the YAML you scan.

Cookies and storage

The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, or to delete them. Write to hello@keymodules.com from the address you signed up with. Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, and the GDPR where it applies to you, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live; in Israel that is the Privacy Protection Authority.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top shows when.
